Due to heavy snowfall in the area the route remains closed for 6 months in a year.  The routes generally open after Mid-May. From June to the end of September the route remains open and perfect time for bike trips.

  3. The stunning beauty of the surroundings at Shanti stupa is another place to visit.
  4. Nubra Valley is a beautiful region located just north of Leh. It is home to the Diskit Monastery.T
  5. The Khardung La Pass is another place to visit.The highest motorable road in the world is situated in Khardungla. Khardungla is located at the north end of the Nubra Valley and is the highest mountain pass in the world. The area of Khardungla is controlled by the Indian army.
  6. Pangong Tso is a stunning lake located in the Changthang region of Ladakh. It is one of the most popular destinations in Ladakh and is well worth a visit. 

Be careful about the following things while you are in a bike trip on such a climbing route:

  1. Stunts are not allowed. It can be very dangerous for you and your co-bikers.
  2. Learn to fix a flat tyre. If you already have the knowledge, remain alert.
  3. Drink water and have refreshments.
  4. Take breaks in short intervals.
  5. Wear bright color clothes, So that you can be noticed by the oncoming vehicles.
  6. Drive safely on the turning patches and use horns in the sharp turns to avoid accidents.
