When many people think of potential candidates for cosmetic surgery, they sometimes think of glamorous young women trying to improve their careers, or women who were once overweight and unable to change the last few folds in their skin.

These assumptions may be clear because of what the media promotes. The reality is that many different types of people undergo surgery for many different reasons.

In this article, I am going to explore some of the more and more visible reasons why people undergo Rhinoplasty in Islamabad.

We are always told that what matters is not what is outside, but what is inside. Then, on the other hand, we are told that we get the most out of what we have because first impressions count. Conflicting messages cause us to struggle with our appearance and what is and what is not important. This can lead us to validate ourselves on how we look on the outside. This brings me to my first reason why people undergo surgery, self-esteem.

To have self-esteem is to have pride and confidence. Another way to describe self-esteem is to feel good about yourself. There are many ways to improve your confidence, whether it be learning more, a better career, spirituality or cosmetic surgery. Many men and women claim to have some form of cosmetic surgery to improve their confidence. A common saying is that when you look good, you feel good. Looks are often intertwined with how we feel.

We are often judged on first appearance, if we feel we look good, our confidence increases and our first rating can also be improved. Self-esteem is a key reason why both men and women have cosmetic procedures.

One of the most popular reasons for undergoing cosmetic surgery is to aim the years back. In magazines, TV and radio, we are constantly bombarded with messages to "slow down the signs of aging", "turn back on the clock", "renew", "update" and words and phrases associated with returning to a more youthful look . This is the same reason that many people choose to undergo cosmetic procedures. In modern society, there is a fear of aging and signs such as wrinkles, slanted skin and unsuitable bodies, and we are told to hide these signs. Procedures such as Botox, breast lift, arm stretch, facelift are aimed at returning to our youthful bodies. In search of age-old people, many people choose to undergo cosmetic surgery.

Another reason why people choose to undergo cosmetic surgery is because they feel like they are out of proportion to their body. For example, some women feel that their breasts are out of proportion to their bodies, either too small or too large. Some men and women feel that their noses are too big, their ears stick out too far, their lips are too small and the list goes on. Feeling that one or more parts of your body are not quite right can be very uncomfortable and that is why many people undergo cosmetic surgery to feel good in themselves.

The media is often blamed for encouraging people to think and forcing unrealistic images. There have been magazine programs and articles discussing how unreal the images we see in front of us every day. Although we are told that these images are not real, we are still influenced by what we see. Many men and women have an ideal body image based on the people they see, such as models, actresses and celebrities. Many people take photos for cosmetic surgeons asking for "Angelina Jolie's lips", "Jennifer Lopez's ass" or "a chin like Brad Pitt". These media ideals can determine how people look at themselves and influence their choices and reasoning behind cosmetic surgery.
An important reason to undergo cosmetic surgery is before and after changes in anyone's life. There has always been an idea that women cut their hair after a break, as if they were beginning a new beginning and as an end to their past lives. The same reason is why many people choose to undergo cosmetic surgery. For many people after a divorce, having had a life-threatening experience, getting or hoping for a new job, etc., are the reasons why they want to undergo a cosmetic surgery. It can be seen as a sign of marking the event and declaring that there will be a change in their lives.
