They seem likely to be without both Cole Strange and Mike Onwenu, who are projected to be the team's two starting guards, while career-long tackle Riley Reiff will continue to play at guard as he has in recent weeks.Guregian noted that Jones and others were under relentle s pre sure in the two practices leading up to this contest. As such, it makes sense to sit the third-year quarterback. He won't likely get much out of the contest if he is under a lot of pre sure, so it's best to keep him healthy and hope his offensive line is more intact for Week 1 against the Eagles.MORE: Bailey Zappe will presumably start for the Patriots with Jones sitting out. His mobility and athleticism are a sets and so too is his versatility, as he has cro s-trained at the receiver position during camp.That could help Cunningham gain an edge on McSorley in his quest to make the 53-man roster.
