Iknow. It's only a color change and it shouldn't be that big of a deal, but when one of the most popular dive watches on the market, from one of the biggest watch brands in the world, decides to go green – it's bound to garner some attention. Right? Right! The modern Omega Omega seamaster Diver 300m went green back in 2022 and I'll have to admit, I initially gave it a few eye rolls. You see, green is so in right now, at least in the watch industry, and a lot of manufacturers jumped on that group with varying results. In my opinion, green is a difficult color to get right. Some brands went a touch too bright, making their watches a little less versatile (I'll exclude the Kermit watch from Oris. That was fun! ), but in the case of the Seamaster watch, it's just the right shade.
I didn't really come to this realization until last week in Atlanta when I got to spend some hands-on time with the watch while we shot some upcoming videos (we have some exciting stuff on the way! ). We wore this around during a work day and compared the Seamaster's shade of eco-friendly to some from the nearby shrubbery just not in the office.
It surprised me how flexible the green made the watch and it surprised me personally even more so how removing one particular color from the dial created the watch look a little less nice and bit more grown-up. Yet, I ended up enjoying the actual the watch so much I decided it was worthy of its own video therefore , here we are. If you want more details and my full applying for grants the green Omega Seamaster Diver 300m, go ahead and give it a watch.
