Platforms is a fun 70’sand 80’s disco nite club in downtown Boca with an interesting decor and a great dance floor. There is a cover but drinks are cheap and a fun place to meet locals. Here are some of the best club in Boca to enjoy your time.

Shake Shack

Founded by New York restaurateur Danny Meyer, Shake Shack is inspired by roadside burger stands that serve simple food made with premium ingredients. It’s a successful formula: as traditional fast-food chains struggle, Shake Shack has thrived, expanding to 377 locations both domestically and internationally.

The first Shack was conceived as an installation to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy’s redevelopment of the park. It was so popular that the Conservancy asked Meyer to submit a bid for running a permanent kiosk-style restaurant in the park.

Pentagram’s graphics for the original Shack expressed a visual sophistication appropriate to its neighborhood, while maintaining a friendly and approachable personality. They used curvy icons of menu items, accompanied by script type in Galaxie Cassiopeia, and applied this system to the restaurants’ interiors as well as their t-shirts, hats, and other merchandise.

The Shack’s success has spawned copycat locations, and it’s easy to see why people love this chain. Whether you’re in the mood for a Shack Stack with cheese fries or a shake, it’s always worth a trip to one of these locations.

Bull Market Bar Grill

When most people think of barbecue sauce, they probably imagine the classic red and sweet, vinegary versions made with tomato or mustard. But there are literally dozens of regional styles, some of which contain neither sugar nor tomatoes. And one of the best of these is Alabama’s mayonnaise-based white barbecue sauce, which has become famous for its tart, creamy flavor. This is just the latest culinary offering from Bull Market Bar and Grill, a downtown Fort Lauderdale restaurant that’s been in business for 2 years.

The menu at this American bar and grill is influenced by Asian, French and Italian cuisines. It has been curated to appeal to Wall Streeters, who can find their comforts in dishes like the butternut squash-coconut soup with ginger, creme fraiche and basil oil or the Maryland crab-Nova Scotia lobster scallop cake.

Creative Director John Todora believes that Bull Market has found its niche within the culinary boom in Himmarshee Village. He and Chef James Buis, who grew up in Chicago and graduated from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, have been working for six months to perfect several new items, including a BBQ section of the menu.

Boca Express Train Museum

When you visit the Boca Express Train Museum, you’ll feel like you are stepping back in time. You’ll hear the familiar sound of “all aboard!” as people step on and off the trains. The experience will bring back memories of a simpler time, when people dressed in elegant clothes.

The Train Museum is housed in a restored 1930 Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) train station built in the Mediterranean Revival style. It was designed by Chester G. Henninger and built for Clarence Geist to receive guests at his resort. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Holly Meehan and her mother bought the property for $2.4 million last year from the Historical Society, which put it up for sale citing a drain on its resources. The new owners plan to keep the society’s Ticket to Ride program that allows 1,000 schoolchildren each year to dress in rail car costumes and learn how trains influenced Boca Raton history. They also plan to keep the original train depot on the site.
